Valentina Devid and Samuel Derkse both work in and on education. Most change stalls in the gap between a good idea and everyday practice, so we work both sides of that gap at once.
A former teacher and middle leader, Valentina has spent years as a trainer and adviser, in the Netherlands and increasingly across international contexts. She works at the level of implementation, leadership and whole-school development: how to make change durable rather than a project that fades within a year.
Samuel Derkse is a teacher of Dutch, a learning-support specialist and a daily practitioner of formative action. He's in front of a class every day, so he experiences first-hand which ideas are viable, and he keeps trying them in his own lessons, even when they don't work the first time.
